Properly maintained belts and hoses don’t just keep your vehicles running smoothly, it also prevents expensive repairs down the line. Modern vehicles typically have a one serpentine belt that’s also known as a drive belt or accessory belt. Older vehicles typically have a number of belts that control different accessories such as the alternator, power steering pump, and A/C compressor.

Upper and lower radiator hoses are essential in keeping your engine cool, and works with your vehicle’s heater hoses. They are responsible for carrying the hot engine coolant which can handle heat and pressure. Some belts and hoses aren’t as easy to check that is why we recommend taking your vehicle here at 1-Stop Auto for maintenance. We will be thoroughly checking the condition of your belts and hoses to make sure that everything is functional.

To know when you should change your timing belts, it is best to stick to the manufacturer’s recommendations. For newly purchased cars, have your drive belt checked at 60,000 miles or 72 months. After this check-up, you may have it checked every 15,000 miles.
